We are so proud of Harding junior Calvin Austin who ran at the USA World Youth Track Championships in Illinois June 30–July 1. After a grueling first day, he ran the 200 (21.85) and 400 (49.26), finishing in the top eight – qualifying for finals – and recording personal bests in both events.

Open gym is for any seventh or eighth grade girl interested in trying out for Harding’s volleyball teams for this upcoming 2015-2016 school year. The head varsity volleyball coach and the seventh and eighth grade volleyball coach will be supervising and instructing during these practices. Presence at these dates is not mandatory for try-outs; however, this time will prepare the girls for try-outs and this upcoming season.

Congratulations to Grace Thurmond (12) who was chosen by the directors of the Tennessee Softball Coaches Association (TSCA) to play in the All-Star Game in Columbia, Tennessee on June 15. Grace was one of 14 seniors selected from West Tennessee (all divisions). Her team will play two games on June 15 – one against the All-Star Team from Middle Tennessee and one against the All-Star Team from East Tennessee
Congratulations to Kayley Underwood (11) who was chosen as an All-State Softball Team player (only nine girls in the entire state were selected in our division).
Congratulations to the Harding Senior Wind Ensemble for winning First Place Gold and the Best Overall Band award at the Anaheim Music Festival in Anaheim, California!
Congratulations to the students in the LEAP program who gave their end of the year recital at Harding White Station. Thank you to their teacher, Harding alumna, Charlotte Lane, for the encouraging these young musician and giving them a love of music.
