The Class of 2021 received Harding Bibles on September 18. This is one of our most treasured moments. A Harding Academy alumnus and teacher had a dream—a dream to start each seventh grader on a path that would lead not to college or a successful career but to a lifetime as a disciple of Jesus Christ. What better way to bless the youngest students on the Cherry Road campus than to place in each child’s hand a copy of the Word of God?
Grant Hill, senior, recently qualified for and was selected to play as a junior golfer in the Nature Valley First Tee Open Pebble Beach in Monterey, California. This is probably one of this biggest accomplishments thus far for Grant as it relates to golf. He is one of only 81 students internationally to play in this tournament. He has been paired up with local golfer Loren Roberts. The tournament will run from September 22–27. We are very proud of Grant!
On Friday, September 11 our lower school students enjoyed an action packed evening at the varsity football game.
On Friday, September 11 the EC2 – Grade 6 students presented a chapel program for their grandparents and special friends.
Congratulations to nine seniors who qualified for the 30+ ACT Club which recognizes seniors who have a composite score of 30 or better on the ACT (any one testing; no super scoring). Their faculty sponsor is Mr. Chris Dahlberg.

On Thursday, August 27 Harding’s junior high football team played their first game on the new field.
On Thursday, August 27, Harding celebrated the longstanding tradition of Harding volleyball with a pregame reception in Sisson Gym followed by an exciting game as our Lady Lions took on former state champions St. Agnes Academy.
We launched our first LevelUp with Train Day at the Harding Cordova campus on Friday, August 28 and at the White Station campus on Friday, September 4.
Introducing . . .Community Lunches – an informal time of food and fellowship among all parents/guardians of Harding students! Whether you work in an office building or in your home, we all break for lunch. We want to treat you, our parents, to a meal, and enjoy catching up with your Harding family. Lunch will be served from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at designated locations around Memphis throughout the year.
Congratulations to Sarah Chow (’15) and David Wang, junior, both of whom were selected to have their art featured in the 2015 issue of “Aerie International,” the only international magazine that features the art and writing of high school students from around the world.
