Your Gift Impacts Generations

We have been blessed over the years by parents, alumni, staff, and others who have helped us grow into the school we are today. To every person who has given a dollar to support Harding Academy, we say thank you. We are so grateful for you partnership and encouragement, and we look forward to a future living out our mission together.

  • Multiply the Mission (2020–2022 )

This two-year $2.5 million matching campaign made a difference to Harding Academy students for years to come. Gifts funded current campus projects and expanded the endowment to exponentially fund Harding’s future. Donors who made gifts of $500+ were recognized on a sculpture designed by the Memphis Metal Museum.

    Completed Projects

    • The entire school was painted, four new roofs were installed, windows were replaced, and new outdoor signage was installed.
    • Middle and high school areas were renovated with dropped ceilings, new lighting, and new HVAC systems. New doors and blinds were installed, lockers were painted, and the stairwells were resurfaced.
    • High school classrooms were upgraded and outfitted with new furniture.
    • Athletic upgrades included resurfacing the Rubio Track and upgrading the Ellers and Sisson gymnasiums.
    • Security features were enhanced with additional cameras and keyless entry.
    • Landscaping was planted, and new directional signage made it easier for guests to find their way on campus.

What is the endowment used for?

Investment earnings from the endowment support all aspects of the school. These funds serve three main purposes:
    1. Supply scholarships and need-based financial assistance.
    2. Support academic programs (fine arts, Bible, science, etc.).
    3. Promote professional development for faculty.

  • One Campus (2018)

We were thrilled to announce in 2018 that students in kindergarten–grade 12 would be together on one campus at the start of the 2018–2019 school year. The move meant it was time to make some major upgrades to the Cherry Road campus.

    Completed Projects

    • Renovated outdoor courtyard and built playground for lower school
    • Upgraded classrooms
    • Renovated restrooms
    • Relocated campus farm
    • Secured front door entrances
    • Moved middle school offices
  • Steadfast (2014–2015)

In the spring of 2014, Harding renamed the renovated track the Rubio Track and launched the Steadfast campaign in honor of Coach Rubio’s marathon of steadfast service. Donations allowed us to complete what we began with the Rubio Track—renovating and reimagining all outdoor athletic venues. Donors who made new gifts of $460, $4600, and $46,000+  in honor of Coach Rubio’s 46 years of service were recognized on new signage at the Rubio Track.

    Completed Projects

    • Installed stadium turf field
    • Renovated baseball field
    • Redesigned tennis courts
    • Improved softball field
    • Addressed drainage issues
