Thousands of shooters and over a hundred schools from across Tennessee converged on the Nashville Gun Club for the TNSCTP State Championship. Most shooters and schools have competed for several years, but no Harding shooter had ever competed in a shooting sport before 2016. But the Harding Lion Shooters did the school proud and finished in the top 15% of schools statewide.

Harding Academy is proud to announce that Johnny Allen has been named the head coach of the football program. Associate head of school and athletic director Kevin Starks said that he was pleased with the high level of interest in the position from numerous quality candidates. He noted that Coach Allen stood out as having the perfect mix of head coaching experience, energy, enthusiasm, and most importantly, a deep faith that motivates all that he does.

At the BOP ceremony on June 10 Calvin Austin won Athlete of the Year in Boys Track & Field.
Kayley Underwood was chosen by the Tennessee Softball Coaches Association as a member of the All-State Team for West TN.
Art teacher Stacey Smith has several works featured in the Spring 2016 issue of the Fredericksburg Literary and Art Review.
At the end of the school year the students wear really cool T-shirts for their track & field day. This year the students spelled out “LIONS” for their group photo.
