Harding Academy presents our 2016–2017 theater season opening with Our Town. We’ve got some great plays and musicals planned for this year, and we can’t wait to see our students share the talents God gave them.
Anthony Yarbrough, Harding Academy Class of 2016, has signed to play basketball with Clark Atlanta University. Yarbrough, a 6’5” wing, racked up a number of honors while at Harding—state tournament MVP, district MVP, 2-time All State, 2-time All State Tournament Team, 3-time Best of the Preps, 2016 Best of the Preps Finalist, 2-time All Region Tournament Team, and 1000 Career Point Club.

Thousands of shooters and over a hundred schools from across Tennessee converged on the Nashville Gun Club for the TNSCTP State Championship. Most shooters and schools have competed for several years, but no Harding shooter had ever competed in a shooting sport before 2016. But the Harding Lion Shooters did the school proud and finished in the top 15% of schools statewide.

Harding Academy is proud to announce that Johnny Allen has been named the head coach of the football program. Associate head of school and athletic director Kevin Starks said that he was pleased with the high level of interest in the position from numerous quality candidates. He noted that Coach Allen stood out as having the perfect mix of head coaching experience, energy, enthusiasm, and most importantly, a deep faith that motivates all that he does.
Congratulations to the Harding athletes who were selected Best of the Preps for the spring season.
At the BOP ceremony on June 10 Calvin Austin won Athlete of the Year in Boys Track & Field.
