Congratulations to sophomore Sarah Luttrell who was named to the Division II-A West District 1 Soccer Region Team for 2014.
Coach Patrick Kabano presented her with the certificate at an all upper school assembly on Tuesday, December 16.
Claudia-Ruthie Austin, a fifth grader at Harding White Station, is making her debut on the big stage at Theatre Memphis in the evening production of A Christmas Carol. She works closely with Scrooge as the last child to exit a group as he vents and hurries carolers away. She performs both as a caroler and dancer. Congratulations to Carliss Settles who was selected to play in the prestigious 13th Annual Auto Zone Liberty Bowl High School All-Star Game, December 13, at Stokes Statium (M.U.S.) The game featured the top 84 high school seniors representing 44 public and private schools in the Memphis area. Each player was selected based on character, field achievements, and classroom performance.
We had two fantastic band Christmas concerts in December, the Christmas Sing–along and the All Bands Christmas Concert.
Students from the EC2 classes to Grade 6 gave a wonderful performance as they sang Christmas songs from different countries around the world.
On Tuesday, December 9 Cordova students in grades 1–3 presented their Christmas program “The Littlest Christmas Tree.”
Over 60 people joined us at our Spirit Station at the Overton Park Pavilion. It was exciting to cheer on Harding teachers, parents, students, alumni, and members of Team Carson as they passed us on the race route.
Harding Academy is pleased to welcome Mr. Brent Patterson to our Board of Trustees. Brent is the Chief Financial Officer at Semmes-Murphy Clinic where he has worked since 2003 after previous experiences at Mueller Industries and Ernst & Young.

Ana Pridgen (11th) performe again with Macy’s Great American Marching Band as part of the 88th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. “The 2014 lineup included six high school marching bands, two university bands, a police band, two all-star bands, and a massive drum & bugle corps. The groups performed for more than 3.5 million spectators and 50 million viewers nationwide during the 2014 parade.” (Source: www.marching.com )
