• Harding Receives 2014 Ambassador Award

    Exciting news! On Tuesday, June 25, the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau presented Harding Academy with the 2014 Ambassador Award in front of a packed house – over 500 – at the Peabody Grand Ballroom. Jordan Clay accepted the award on behalf of the students of Harding Academy for “sharing the spirit of Memphis” through the “Happy in Memphis” video.

  • Harding Embraces New Shield Logo for 2014-2015

    Our logo is one of the first and most important images a person will see about Harding Academy. We have an exciting update to our school logo to share with you. We have not altered the H logo or the font of the text (at this time), however we have refreshed the “packaging” of our existing logo elements. We have revised the former square logo into a new shield logo.

  • Williamson Announces Five New Board Members

    Last summer the Board of Trustees determined that expansion of our board was a key component in Harding’s ongoing renewal. We immediately began the process of identifying qualified and willing candidates. Today, I am pleased to announce the addition of five new Harding Academy trustees whose affiliation with Harding spans between 16 to 40 years, as either students, parents, or both.

  • SGA and Upper School Class Officers Announced

    Christianity molds everything in the daily activities of Harding Academy. The Student Government Association (SGA) integrates our students’ spiritual life and school spirit into all aspects of school-life such as homecoming, chapels, big brother/big sisters, service projects, and Spiritual Emphasis Week. The SGA consists of four elected executive officers and five elected class officers for grades 9-12. Officers in grades seven and eight are included in any activity that involves their class.

  • LEAP Piano Gives Recital

    On Friday, May 16, the students in the LEAP piano program at the Harding White Station campus gave wonderful performances at their spring recital. The Fireplace Room was filled with family and friends who were excited to support these young musicians. Their teacher, Charlotte Lane (’07), has given private lessons for the past three years in the LEAP after-school enrichment program.

    Congratulations to Megan Cole who won three medals at the Extravaganza Art Competition at Trevecca University. She placed first and third in Art and second place in Poetry. Only first place selections qualified for the finals where over 3000 students competed. Megan placed first! We are so proud of you!

  • Varsity Track Heads to State

    The Harding Academy track team recently competed in the Division II West Sectional Track Meet, with five relay teams and four individuals progressing to the State Track Championships in Murfreesboro. The boys track team finished with 48 points, winning the Region Championship in Division II-A.

    Harding Theatrer had a successful run of the intriguing drama Proof March 28-30. Winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and Tony Award winner for Best Play, Proof follows the life of Catherine, a young mathematician struggles to find her place in the world after the tragic death of her father who was a mathematics genius.

  • Harding Grants Make-A-Wish

    On March 31, a wish was granted for John Robertson, a sixteen-year-old from Cedar Point, TN. His wish was for a Polaris UTV. The Harding Academy Cherry Road campus worked during January and February to raise the funds to grant his wish.
