We are happy to announce that our food service provider will be changing for the 2024–2025 school year to Belltower. We are excited about the quality of food we will be able to offer and think this will be a welcome change for our families. We have outlined the ordering process below and are sharing a screencast of how to place your lunch order.

How It Will Work

• For K–12, all lunches will be pre-order and pre-pay. Orders will be due by Friday at 3:00 p.m. for the following week. You will be able to order two weeks in advance if you prefer.
• Orders will be placed through the FACTS Family Portal. See the screencast below for detailed sign-up instructions.
• For K–12, food choices are a la carte, so you can order any option at any time. For example, you can order a fajita bowl or a breakfast sandwich any day of the week, not just on Fajita Day or Breakfast Day.
• Lower school will have food checks in the morning to make sure each child has either ordered lunch or brought lunch from home.
• For Little Harding, there will be no substantial changes. You will sign up for the meal plan here, and the menu will rotate each day (similar to how it functions now). However, there will be one additional benefit! If your child is enrolled year-round, they will receive meals during summer and holiday breaks.

FAQs

Why did you make this change?
Lexington Independents prices were going to increase this year, so we began looking at other options. We were very impressed with the quality of the food from Belltower, and the price difference was negligible. 

When can I place my order for the first week of school?
You can order today! The deadline for orders for the first week of school is Friday, August 2, 3:00 p.m. Note that new students in grades 9–12 will eat separately on their first day of school, August 8, and do not need to place an order for that day.

What if I unexpectedly need to order lunch on a particular day?
Give us a call before 8:15 a.m. and we’ll get you added to the order.

What if I order food and my child has to miss school due to unforeseen circumstances? 
Your account will be credited for the charge.

Will you still serve breakfast?
We will not serve breakfast in the morning. However, there will be several breakfast options available at lunch.

Will there be afternoon snacks available for purchase?
We will not have afternoon snacks available for purchase this year. When we open our school store in 2025–2026, students will be able to purchase snacks from the store in the afternoon.

What if I have money left in my Lexington Independents account?
Any money left in your Lexington Independents account will be refunded to you.

Where will my child pick up and eat their food?
Lunch locations and times will remain the same as last year.

Is this the Belltower owned by Harding alumni?
Yes! Belltower is owned by alumni Micah Dempsey (’16) and Chris Galbreath (’15). We have an extra boost of excitement from supporting a local alumni-owned business.
