Before the Christmas break the children on our two Little Harding campuses had an exciting day of horse–drawn sleigh rides around their school and feeding the animals from Happy Times Farm.
Our varsity boys and girls basketball teams will host Harding’s annual More than Basketball Christmas Tournament from Monday, December 18 through Wednesday, December 20.
On Wednesday, December 13 our A Cappella Chorus had their traditional concert by the Christmas tree in the Peabody lobby. On Monday, December 4 our choruses presented their annual Christmas concert directed by Mr. Brooks Gatlin.
It’s easy to get wrapped up in the busyness, the glitter, the gifts, and the schedules of the Christmas season. If we aren’t careful, December 26 hits and we realize that we missed it. Jesus comes, our Savior is born, and we are still digging our way out of wrapping paper and gingerbread men. The word advent means “arrival” and this season is all about anticipating the arrival of the Messiah.
If your family doesn’t already have an advent tradition, we hope this will be a helpful guide to use for the twelve days leading up to Christmas Day (December 14–25).
On Saturday, December 9 the Harding Academy Bands presented their annual Christmas Concert.
On Friday, December 8 our Senior Wind Ensemble had their traditional Christmas Sing–along for the students on the Cherry Road campus and the 5th grade students from our Cordova and White Station lower school campuses.
