Kindergarten Students Help with Holiday Food Drive

Our kindergarten classes helped White Station Church of Christ with their Holiday Food Drive to provide food and encouragement to families in our community. Students prepared a budget to figure the cost of filling a food box, then they helped with chores at home to earn money. Over $300 was raised, and our classes were able to fill eight food boxes. They also wrote sweet notes to be included in the boxes.

Students also visited the food pantry where they talked with volunteer (and former Harding Academy teacher) Susan Douglas. She explained that many families would be fed through their generosity. Then students led a chapel time with the three- and four-year-olds at Little Harding. What a wonderful way to encourage our students to be servant workers and community builders with those in our community and at Little Harding!
