Taste of Harding 2015

Dear Harding Family,
I want to thank everyone for another wonderful Taste of Harding event last Saturday. We were blessed with beautiful weather to welcome over 550 guests. Because of your support, over $85,000 was raised to benefit the students at Harding Academy.
Special thanks to Kathie Ray, Tricia Mullins, the Taste of Harding Committee, our entire development staff, and the countless volunteers who made our evening together so successful. I appreciate the wide support from our faculty and staff, and I am eternally grateful for your continued willingness to give your time and resources to keep Harding strong. Of course, the success of this event would not be possible without the support of many vendors and sponsors who gave so generously. Our restaurant awards went to the following: Lions’ Choice – Frost Bake Shop; Best Signature Dish – Las Delicias; Best Taste – One & Only BBQ. The next time you are planning an evening out or a special event, please consider one of our Taste of Harding partners.
I am most thankful to God for blessing the Harding family in countless ways. Congratulations to Mrs. Marilyn Dempsey who received the Esprit de Corps Award and to Dale (’84) and Kim (’86) Sharp who received the Distinguished Alumni Award. These honors are well deserved. Moments like these remind me that this is God’s school and that if we continue to do the right things for the right reasons, He will continue to provide.
On Saturday evening, I announced a $150,000 challenge gift toward the Steadfast Campaign. An anonymous donor will match every dollar contributed in the next 40 days, up to $150,000. We will be sending more information about the 40-day challenge later this week. Please pray for this effort and consider making a contribution by clicking Steadfast Campaign or mailing a check. I would be glad to talk with you in person about this campaign and the ways it will benefit Harding for years to come.
Once again, thank you for another wonderful Taste of Harding event and for your continued support of Harding Academy.
In Christ,
Mr. Williamson
