Jesus Loves Memphis
On Saturday morning, October 24, dozens of Harding Academy Lions spread throughout Memphis to serve and love our city. For the 3rd year in a row, our students volunteered with Jesus Loves Memphis, a day devoted to showing the love of Jesus to the city of Memphis.
Our students worked with volunteers from many East Memphis churches, picked up trash at three parks around East Memphis, cleaned and organized for Room in the Inn, helped clear lawn debris, painted bible verses on the walls of a church building, and served in many other ways.
While it was only a few hours for our students, it meant much more for those that we served. Several people were moved to tears when they saw what the volunteers were able to accomplish in a short time.
Harding Academy has already planned to participate in this effort again next October, and we hope you’ll plan to join us!
