Brad Anderson

Brad and his wife Barbara have two sons—Alec (‘13), a graduate of MIT, and Collin (’17), a graduate of Cornell University. Brad was born in Clarkfield, MN, and is a member at the Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN.

Brad is a crop analyst at Cargill, and he loves working in the field and on the computer forecasting US corn, soybean, wheat, and cotton crops. In his spare time, he loves reading, walking, biking, and spending time on the farm. His favorite thing to do in Memphis is to eat great food that is bad for you. In related news, his favorite Memphis restaurant is Gus’s Fried Chicken.

Brad’s favorite Bible passage is Matthew 22:37–39, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Brad’s favorite thing about Harding Academy is the combination of rigorous academics and opportunities to be involved in multiple extracurriculars in a supportive and caring environment. His deep hope for the school is “to be truly inclusive so that all students and their families fully benefit from what Harding provides.”
