First graders SHINE their lights to help those in need!

Our first graders used their Teaching for Transformation FLEx project to shine their lights—literally! While studying about light in science, students followed their class Storyline to “Wonder, Think, Heal,” to find a way to help those in need. After planning and executing a wildly successful bake sale, these industrious first graders purchased flashlights for guests at Room at the Inn. Ms. Mallory’s Deep Hope: that we will wonder and delight in God’s creation, look for brokenness in it, and find ways to heal it as we work and play for God’s glory.
