Fifth Graders Receive DAR Awards

Congratulations to our fifth graders who won a Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) competition. Brooklyn Faris won for her essay, and Lena Snell, Caroline Brasfield, and Anabel Kelly won for their video. The subject of the contest was, “Exploring a New Kind of Tea Party.” Entrants had to provide details about the Edenton Tea Party or Wilmington Tea Party and explain whether or not they would have chosen to join the tea party. The winners were presented with a medal, certificate, and $50 for their awards.
