Seth King Named Athletic Director

We are excited to announce our own Seth King as the new Harding Academy athletic director. Coach King has been at Harding for 10 years. He has served as track coach, cross country coach, assistant athletic director, middle school athletic director, campus minister, and Bible teacher. He has been named Coach of the Year three times and has led his teams to five state championships and 12 regional championships. He has also coached 30 individual state champions and helped over 200 students win state medals. One of the first tasks Coach King will oversee as athletic director is the hiring of a new head boys basketball coach.

Coach King said, “I’m thankful, humbled, and excited to lead and serve our coaches and athletes. My family and I love this school and this city. I’m grateful to Coach Greg Eubanks, Coach Kevin Starks, and all of those who have held this position before me. God has been at work in Harding Athletics for many decades, and I’m excited to see where He leads us in the decades ahead.” 

Head of School Trent Williamson said, “I cannot think of anyone more talented, more enthusiastic, or more godly to lead our athletic program. Coach King is already known as a mentor and supporter to so many of our students. I can’t wait to see him thrive in this new role.”
