Grade 4 students explore Elmwood Cemetery
As part of the fourth grade’s study of Memphis and Tennessee history the class enjoyed a field trip to Elmwood Cemetery on Tuesday November 6. They had a docent-led tour of the cemetery, including sections about the Civil War and the yellow fever epidemic, the mausoleums and the famous Memphians who are buried there. After the tour the students enjoyed a picnic lunch.
