On Monday, April 7, PBS presented the 2014 PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovators. Harding is proud to announce that Scott Frizzell was chosen as one of sixteen 2014 Lead PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovators.
Exciting news! On Tuesday, June 25, the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau presented Harding Academy with the 2014 Ambassador Award in front of a packed house – over 500 – at the Peabody Grand Ballroom. Jordan Clay accepted the award on behalf of the students of Harding Academy for “sharing the spirit of Memphis” through the “Happy in Memphis” video.
Our logo is one of the first and most important images a person will see about Harding Academy. We have an exciting update to our school logo to share with you. We have not altered the H logo or the font of the text (at this time), however we have refreshed the “packaging” of our existing logo elements. We have revised the former square logo into a new shield logo.
Last summer the Board of Trustees determined that expansion of our board was a key component in Harding’s ongoing renewal. We immediately began the process of identifying qualified and willing candidates. Today, I am pleased to announce the addition of five new Harding Academy trustees whose affiliation with Harding spans between 16 to 40 years, as either students, parents, or both.
Christianity molds everything in the daily activities of Harding Academy. The Student Government Association (SGA) integrates our students’ spiritual life and school spirit into all aspects of school-life such as homecoming, chapels, big brother/big sisters, service projects, and Spiritual Emphasis Week. The SGA consists of four elected executive officers and five elected class officers for grades 9-12. Officers in grades seven and eight are included in any activity that involves their class.
