Harding Track Finishes Strong

Congratulations to the Harding track team as they finished strong at the TSSAA Division II State Track Meet in Murfreesboro, Tenn. (Sarah Luttrell’s 5th place finish is pictured above.) Here are some results.

GIRLS:

➽ Sarah Luttrell finished 5th in the high jump. She cleared 5’0,” only four inches away from the school record. (pictured above)

➽ Girls 4 x 200 finished 3rd setting a new school record time of 1:45.71. (Imani Harris, Nia Bowley, Ellie Arnett, Cami Bea Austin)

➽ Girls 4 x 400 finished 6th with a 4:13 and a season best of 50.37. (Imani Harris, Kynadi Brasfield, Sarah Luttrell, Cami Bea Austin)

➽ Girls 800 relay team finished 3rd with a time of 1:45.71.

➽ Girls 1600 relay team finished 6th with a time of 4:13.82.

BOYS:

➽ Jon Flat finished 8th in shot put; this is his third straight season to go to state in a throwing event.

➽ Brayden Shelby finished 8th in long jump.

➽ Calvin Austin III finished 3rd in long jump with a PR, jumping 22′ for the first time.

➽ Boys 4 x 100 finished 2nd in the region and set a new school record.

➽ Boys 4 x 200 team finished 3rd with a new school record time of 1:29:44. (Cristian Santiago, Reggie Anthony, Nick Martin, Calvin Austin III)

➽ Boys 800 relay team finished 3rd with a time of 1:29.44.
