Sloan Scott Named Assistant Athletic Director

We are excited to announce our own Sloan Scott is expanding her role at Harding Academy to serve as assistant athletic director. As part of this new role, she will lead our lower and middle school offerings, including camps and clinics. In addition, she will serve as the head coach for both boys and girls cross country teams. She will also teach a math class and will continue to lead SGA.

Coach Scott has experienced Harding athletics both as a student and as a coach. She has coached volleyball for two years, cross country for four years, and track and field for six years. In addition, she has coached our middle school runners and organized lower school running camps.

Coach Scott said, “I am incredibly humbled to serve in this capacity. As someone that participated in Harding sports from kindergarten to 12th grade, it is an honor to give back to the place that shaped me into who I am today. I am excited to serve the Harding community and watch it grow in the years to come. Go, Lions!”

Coach King said, “Sloan Scott is the perfect person to lead our lower school and middle school athletic programs. Her athletic experience, leadership skills, and faithful love for Jesus and our students will make all of us better people, stronger athletes, and more faithful followers of Jesus. Harding athletics is better because of God’s work through Sloan Scott, and I’m excited to see how He uses her in this role.”
