Little Harding Pick–up and Summer Information

Pick-Up:
You will receive all the things your child left at school in their locker or cubby, a summer packet, a special collection of their work in a portfolio, etc. Everything will be in a bag which has not been touched for about a week. You will drive up and items will be delivered to your car.

White Station campus is Monday, May 18. It’s the same day as lower school, in order to make it more convenient. Students in our 2s and 3s are asked to return mat covers that day.

Cordova campus is Thursday, May 21. Excluding the mat covers.

Pick-Up will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Summer Information:
Little Harding will reopen for year-round students on Monday, June 1.
Unfortunately this summer we will not be able to accept drop-ins for camp. If, however, your child has been school-year and you need care for the summer, you are welcome to make a program change to year-round. Here are some things to keep in mind as we reopen.

  • We will be following CDC guidelines as well as suggestions from the TN Toolkit and the Memphis and Shelby County Framework Document.

  • All students 2 and older will be expected to wear cloth masks. We hope to have a few for purchase if you haven’t found one by June 1.

  • Each student’s temperature will be taken with a no-touch thermometer each day.

  • We plan to have all students escorted to class by a member of our staff.

  • Parents will be asked to sign in using their own writing instrument to avoid disinfecting after each sign-in.

  • Lunch boxes will be kept separate from each other (not in one central container as before).

There are many other guidelines but these are just examples of how things will be different. The staff will attend a day of inservice in order to be familiar with all the protocols before we reopen. Parents will be given the opportunity to read the guidelines and sign a letter stating they have done so.

We have surveyed year-round students and several will not be starting on June 1. If you plan on joining us later in the summer we encourage you to let us know as soon as possible. We must have at least 2 weeks notice. If you have notified us, you will be given credit for the days you do not attend.
