SK Classes Tour School Garden To Learn About Plants

Our SK classes recently visited Dr. Tim Stafford (a.k.a. Farmer Tim) for a tour of the school garden! He taught them about the parts of plants and the different varieties that grow in the garden. He also explained the process of composting. Students will begin collecting their non-meat food scraps after lunch this week to add to the compost pile. In the spring, they will use the compost/soil mixture to plant vegetables in the garden. Our students are so excited to be a part of the growth process that God has created!
