IFA event: S. D. Smith Speaks to Harding Students

The Institute of Faith and the Arts (IFA), in conjunction with the White Station Parent’s Club, brought in book author, S.D. Smith, to speak in chapel at White Station.  After chapel, Smith held a creative writing workshop with Harding sixth graders including the Cordova sixth graders who came to White Station for the opportunity.  Later that morning, he went to the upper school and spoke Kayla Pharr’s 3rd period (10:00 – 10:45) creative writing class. “He’s passionate about fostering holy imagination in children, about anticipating the coming Kingdom in family, community, and church life.”  Smith is the author of the Green Ember.  www.http://www.sdsmith.net/
