Welcome! Ashley Murdock – Jr High Tennis Coach


Harding Academy is pleased to announce Ashley Murdock as our junior high girls and boys tennis coach and assistant varsity coach.

Ashley played college tennis for LSU and the University of Memphis where she played number one singles and doubles for the Tigers and received All-Conference honors all three years at Memphis. Ashley played on the pro circuit from 2010 to 2014 and won a professional doubles title in Mytilini, Greece, in 2013.

As a local juniors player, Ashley Murdock was ranked fifth in the state of Tennessee, was in the top 20 in the South region, and was ranked in the top 100 juniors in the nation. In high school, she was a member of a Tennessee state championship team and was the state runner-up in girls singles. She was named the Commercial Appeal Best of Preps Female Athlete of the Year her senior year and was selected for the Best of Preps tennis team all four years of high school.

Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and Spanish from the University of Memphis where she was a graduate assistant coach. She also served as a volunteer assistant coach with the Tigers for two years.  

A first year teacher at Harding Academy, Ashley teaches Spanish in grades SK-6. She is also coaching in the junior development program at Windyke Country Club.
