Molly Bowie Cook (’78)

Molly and her husband, Rick, are members of the White Station Church of Christ. They have three children—Brand, Jordan, and Michal.

Molly has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education as well as a degree in art from the University of Memphis. She taught at Harding Academy from 1981–1999 including seven years in kindergarten and 11 years in middle school Bible and art. She now serves as the head of tutorial programs at The Bowie Center. Her favorite part of her job is helping children grow in confidence in learning.

Molly’s favorite thing to do in Memphis is visit Patriot Lake, enjoy local restaurants, support Isaiah House 117, go to the theater, and watch her grandangels’ sports games. Outside of Memphis, she and her husband love hiking in national parks.

What she loves most about Harding Academy is that children feel loved and safe at school, that they are learning in a Christian environment, and that it always feels like home when she’s there. Her Deep Hope for Harding Academy is that we’re always looking for new opportunities to strengthen each part of the school, and that in doing so, our numbers will grow and thrive.
