Student CLAs are Challenged and Inspired by David Jordan, CEO of Agape
Campus Life Ambassadors were challenged and inspired this week as David Jordan, CEO of Agape Child & Family Services, shared what it truly means to lead with integrity. He reminded our students that Christian leaders must show up, especially in crisis. Through real-life experiences, he highlighted three essential leadership traits:
1. Humility – Do our words match how we live? True leaders serve just as Jesus modeled in John 13.
2. Hope – Hope is the anticipation of what can be. What if hope becomes the narrative of Memphis? If hope wins, Memphis wins.
3. Know Your Why – Leadership isn’t just about what you do, but why you do it. A Kingdom-focused “why” shapes every decision.
From transparency in difficult moments to choosing forgiveness over retaliation, students saw that how we show up in hard situations matters. Are we living Kingdom-led or something else-led?
Thank you, David Jordan, for spending this time with our students! We are so grateful for leaders who invest in the next generation.
