Kindergarten Students Learn About Serving and Building Their Community
Our kindergarten classes recently assisted the Church of Christ at White Station with their holiday food drive. Students expanded their social studies unit on earning, spending, and saving by doing chores at home to earn and save money. Our three kindergarten classes earned and saved enough money to fill nine food boxes! They also made cards of encouragement to include with the boxes to bless those who receive them.
Students visited the White Station Church of Christ to deliver the filled food boxes and were also able to see the many ways the church ministers to the community. While there, students helped lead chapel for our three- and four-year-olds at Little Harding. Our kindergarteners loved this opportunity to be servant workers and community builders.
