Kaeden Whartenby gives our CLAs practical tools to guide others toward conflict resolution

Senior Kaeden Whartenby, who has presented at National Youth Leadership Training, led our Campus Life Ambassadors (CLAs) in a powerful session on conflict resolution this week.

CLAs were reminded that conflict is a natural part of leadership, and strong leaders respond with empathy, self-awareness, and a commitment to listening. Kaeden introduced the EAR method—Express, Address, Resolve—giving students practical tools to guide others toward meaningful solutions rather than taking sides.

Through discussion and a hands-on activity, students learned that influence doesn’t come from force, but from communication, understanding, and trust.

Rooted in faith, the message was clear: Christ calls us to be servant leaders. When we listen first, remain patient, and seek to understand, we are serving others in the way He modeled for us.

Thank you, Kaeden, for this wonderful lesson! We love watching our CLAs grow as thoughtful, compassionate leaders.
