Janelle Phipps Named TN Shakespeare Company Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Janelle Phipps who was named the Tennessee Shakespeare Company (TSC) Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Phipps did not appreciate Shakespeare until her college years and wants to change that for her students. As TSC says, “She determined early in her career that her students would translate, see, hear, and play with Shakespeare’s language and characters to grasp the depth of human emotion and behavior found in his works.” Mrs. Phipps currently teaches English, Honors English, and AP English Literature. We are so blessed to have Mrs. Phipps at Harding Academy!
