Congratulations to the Harding choruses for a beautiful Spring Concert on Sunday, April 26. Thank you to White Station Church of Christ for hosting the performance. The Junior Chorus, A Cappella Chorus, and Small Ensemble gave one of their best concerts all season. Bravo to Brooks Gatlin, director, for an outstanding first year.

The A Cappella recently competed in the Heritage Music Festival in Atlanta where earned a Gold rating and placed First in their division.
This is a recap of their trip from director, Brooks Gatlin:
“The A Cappella Chorus just returned from a wonderful trip through Alabama to Atlanta, Georgia. After leaving Memphis Wednesday afternoon, April 15, we drove to the Montgomery, Alabama area where we spent the night. On Thursday morning, we performed for Prattville Christian Academy and Alabama Christian Academy. At both concerts, we took the opportunity to perform our signature closing piece, “The Lord Bless You and Keep You,” alongside that school’s choir.
After our performances in Alabama, we drove on to Atlanta. On Friday morning, we spent a wonderful hour with DJ Bulls, the Director of Choral Activities at Greater Atlanta Christian School (GACS), who gave us a mini-clinic on our festival music that we would be performing the next morning. After our time at GACS, we enjoyed a few attraction, including the Georgia Aquarium, a CNN studio tour, and Coca-Cola Museum. We ended our day by attending a performance of Vivaldi’s “Gloria,” put on by the GACS Concert Choir and Orchestra.
On Saturday, we put on our concert attire and sang our festival performance, and then enjoyed a long, beautiful day at Six Flags over Georgia. That evening we attended the Festival Awards Banquet, where we learned that we earned a Gold rating and placed First in our division. Once the banquet was over, we loaded the bus and returned to our hotel where we spent an wonderful hour singing songs of praise, praying and, encouraging each other. This was a very special time, and a perfect way to close a long, busy week together.
On Sunday morning, our senior boys led our worship service, and then we headed back to Memphis. As a director, I could not be more thrilled with how our week went and I am already looking forward to next year!”
