Shana Efaw Named Upper School Principal

We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Shana Efaw has been named our new Upper School Principal.

In addition to a wealth of experience, professionalism, and expertise, Shana also brings a lifetime of service to Harding Academy. I can think of few people who know more about our school community and its history. She is passionate about providing the highest quality Christian education to the students and families that we serve, and she has a deep love and commitment to Harding.

Shana shared, “I am thankful and humbled to be the next principal of Harding Academy. God has blessed me beyond measure in my years here, and I am excited to be a part of how He will continue to bless our students and our city in the years to come.”

Shana majored in History and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching with concentration in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership from the University of Memphis in 1998. Throughout her years at Harding Academy, she has served as assistant director for Little Harding, social studies teacher, department chair for social studies, and upper school director for curriculum and instruction. As a Harding alumna, parent, and faculty member, she understands the strengths of our school and is willing to identify and address areas of weakness.
