SK Students Help Provide Groceries for Families in Need

This spring, our Sr. K students continued their partnership with White Station Church of Christ’s food pantry. Students provided five boxes of groceries for those in our community who are unable to purchase the food they need for their families. They also wrote cards of encouragement to be included in each box. Mrs. Karen Hubbard, former Harding Academy staff member and director of the food pantry, talked to our students about the needs of the community and how the students’ gifts showed kindness and compassion. This was a FLEx project that gave students the opportunity to do real work to meet the real needs of real people—a core component of our Teacher for Transformation framework.
