Welcome Coach Rodriguez and Coach Douglas!

We are excited to announce two new hires in our soccer program. Rafa Rodriguez will serve as the CEO of soccer and head varsity boys coach beginning immediately. Hannah Douglas will serve as the assistant director of soccer and assistant boys team coach also beginning immediately.

Coach Rodriguez is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is the coach and founder of Futsal Escola and Play Soccer Today. As program founder, he teaches the game to kids from all across the MidSouth—from Binghampton to Berclair to Collierville. Coach Rodriguez brings over 12 years of coaching youth and amateur soccer. Previously, he was the head coach for Memphis City FC, the semi-pro team that proceeded Memphis 901 FC. Rafa will continue to coach and train soccer and futsal players through his organizations Futsal Escola and Play Soccer Today.

Coach Douglas is a Harding Academy (‘07) and Harding University graduate who played 4 years of collegiate soccer in addition to her time in high school. She earned a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has been serving as a licensed therapist at Capstone Treatment Center in Searcy, Arkansas. She has already joined the faculty at Harding Academy in the counseling office and will serve as the on-campus day-to-day soccer contact as well as the assistant boys team coach.
