Middle School Trips 2018

The week before fall break our middle school students enjoyed trips to St. Louis, New Orleans, and Washington, D.C.

Our sixth graders toured St. Louis October 3–5. They ate at Lambert’s and Ted Drewes Frozen Custard. Highlights included the Arch, the City Museum, and the Zoo.

The seventh grade hit the Big Easy October 3–5. Highlights included Mardi Gras World, WWII Museum, Cafe du Monde, a swamp tour, and a riverboat dinner cruise.

Our eighth grade students enjoyed a trip to Washington, DC, September 30–October 5. They visited Monticello, Mount Vernon, Arlington Cemetery, and many museums, monuments, and memorials.

Before they went into the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History the eighth graders had their picture made with Mr. Rod Terry. Mr. Terry is an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington. He talked to the students about how he got into photography and how his work came to be featured in the Smithsonian. Then he toured the museum with some of the students.
