April 27 | Track & Field



Nick Martin and Antoinette Lewis, Harding:

The Lions seniors stood out as Harding turned in a terrific effort at the Eastern Relays in Louisville. Martin ran on the victorious spring medley and 800-meter relay teams while finishing third in both the 100 and 200 as Harding won the boys team championship. The Lady Lions placed fourth behind Lewis, who won the shot put by over four feet and placed fifth in the discus.

April 20 | Baseball



Chris Swanberg, Harding:

The CBU signee went 8 for 11 last week with two doubles, a home run and five RBI as the Lions swept league rival FACS in an important three-game series. The senior is currently batting .382.

April 13 | Track & Field

Harding 800-meter relay team:



The Lions team of Austin Jackson, Nick Martin, Charles Nichols and Calvin Austin III won the title at Saturday’s Battle of the Border meet at Whitehaven. Their time of 1:27.16 broke the school record set last season and helped Harding finish second in the team competition. It’s also the fastest 800-relay time in the state this year and puts them in the top-25 nationally.

March 30 | Track & Field


Antoinette Lewis.jpg

Antoinette Lewis, Harding:

Lewis, who is headed to South Alabama on a basketball scholarship, was named most outstanding athlete at Harding’s Bonner Relays on Saturday. She won both the shot put and the discus in leading the Lions to the girls championship. Lewis currently ranks second in the state (first in Division 2) in the shot.

February 2 | Basketball

Antoinette Lewis, Harding senior:


The South Alabama signee turned in some consistently excellent performances over the last several days. She scored 12 points and grabbed 16 rebounds against Lausanne (a game in which she went over 2,000 career points) and followed that up with 23 and 14 against St. Mary’s. Lewis then had 14 points and 18 rebounds in a victory over FACS and 22 in Tuesday’s win over ECS that improved the Lions to 21-4.

September 29 | Football – Special Teams


Calvin Austin, Harding senior:

You could almost put Austin in any category after his monster effort in a 48–7 victory over Magnolia Heights. His special teams scores came on a 62–yard punt return and a 99–yard kickoff return and he also got into the end zone on 18– and 15–yard runs and an 18–yard interception return.

September 8 | Football – Offense


Marquavious Moore, Harding, senior:
Moore turned in the top offensive performance in the area so far this season, rushing for 363 yards and scoring on runs of 33, 31, 79, and 35 yards – all in the second half – as the Lions improved to 3–0 with a 51–26 victory over FACS.

August 25 | Volleyball


Lauren Deaton, Harding, junior:
The Lions finished runner-up this weekend thanks in no small part to Deaton, who racked up 116 kills in 10 matches. She then added 15 more kills as Harding defeated Houston on Monday.
