Harding senior Alyssa Hale has signed to swim with the University of Arkansas.

Alyssa starting swimming competitively at 10 years old and has been a part of the USA Age Group Swimming program from the beginning. She earned a spot to compete for Southeastern Swimming for 3 years in a row (2010–2012) at the Southern Regional Zone Championships. That meet is for the best swimmers in the United States for the southern region and Alyssa made the finals each year and scored points for Southeastern Swimming. Alyssa also was 9th in the 100 breaststroke in the United States for 12 year–olds in 2012. This same year Alyssa helped Southeastern Swimming win the overall Championship.

USA Swimming selected Alyssa to attend Zone Select Camp in Louisville KY in 2013. She has consistently made AAAA times in most events since she was 10 years old. Less than 1% of all swimmers in the United States meet these times standards.

Alyssa was 2nd at the 100 Fly at the 2015 Southeastern Summer Swimming Championships, nearly making an Olympic Trials qualifying time.

Alyssa has won 1st in the 100 breaststroke and the 100 fly in the Shelby County Championships for the past 3 years. She currently holds the Shelby County record in the 50 and 100 breaststroke. She was also 3rd in the 100 breaststroke representing Harding at the Tennessee State High School Championships and has made the final 8 each year she has competed at the meet.
