Harding Homecoming 2015

Harding Academy’s weeklong homecoming festivities culminated with its traditional half-time presentations. Congratulations to Harding Academy’s 2015 Homecoming Queen, Karli Williamson (senior), escorted by Tyrique Liddell (senior). Karli is treasurer in the Student Government Association and a member of the National Honor Society, varsity girls cross country team, A Cappella Chorus, and Girls of Harding (a devotional leadership and mentoring group for girls). Tyrique is a senior class secretary, a member of Harding Health Scholars, and is a Campus Life Ambassador. The crowning moment was even more special as Karli’s father, Harding’s president, Mr. Trent Williamson, along with 2014 Queen, alumna Sarah Jones, made the presentation. It was also an honor to welcome back members of the 1964 Homecoming Court and hear these ladies reminisce about this same moment 51 years ago. They recalled the original football field, spectator stand, their classmates, and landmarks around the campus. They and the many alumni at the game were pleased to see the improvements to campus, including the beautiful new turf stadium field that was completed this summer. Alumni were equally pleased to see that timeless traditions like Homecoming continue to build rich memories for current students and families.
