Cross Country Teams Headed to State


Congratulations to the boys and girls varsity cross country teams who are both headed to the State Meet in Nashville next Saturday, November 1. Congratulations Coach Rubio, Coach Gandee, Coach King, Coach Stalcup, and Coach Hayes! Read the story in the Commercial Appeal.

The boys placed First at the Division II-A region meet! Three of our boys finished in the top ten. Senior Christopher Galbreath medaled and placed third with a time of 16:24, freshman Clayton Sharp placed fourth with a time of 16:59, and senior Josh Sanders placed sixth with a time of 17:07.

The girls placed Fourth at the Division II-A regional cross country meet. Harding had two girls place in the top ten: Alex Kelly, junior, came in eighth, Bailey Petrey, junior, came in ninth.

Coach Ronn Rubio reached a mile-marker yesterday (October 23) as he coached his final Region meet. In his 40+-year coaching career, he has touched the lives of countless students, teachers, and parents. Anyone who has been blessed to be coached by him, to work alongside him, or to observe him is better for having done so. Congratulations Coach Rubio! We love you.
