A Special Visit from Meteorologist Max Claypool

Our after-school students enjoyed a special visit from WREG News Channel 3 meteorologist Max Claypool who stopped by to talk about the fascinating weather the mid-south recently experienced!
Students learned the difference between snow and sleet, why sleet takes longer to melt, and saw photos of ice from North Mississippi. With spring weather right around the corner, they also learned about tornadoes, where they most commonly occur, and what to do to stay safe.
To top it all off, they got an up-close look at WREG’s Storm Tracker! Thanks for coming to visit and sharing your knowledge with us, Max!
